Kaydee update

We took K back to the vet yesterday for a check up. She has improved after being on her medication. She let the vet examine her legs and didn't flinch with pain. The vet watched her walk too. Huge improvement.
So, the news is that K does not have to have hip replacement surgery now. She will have to keep taking her daily anti inflammatory and joint medication. She can go on 2 5 minute walks a day, preferable up hill as it strengthens the glutes (good for humans too ) but no running. We also ordered some dog food which is good for K's joints. We are also to call the vet with monthly updates and bring K in every 6 months for blood work to make sure the meds are not affecting her liver. We can sure live with that.
Kaydee may need surgery down the line but no within a year. We will keep up the routine and keep K fit and trim.
