Tommorrow is the big day. I'm as nervous as heck. It's hard to stay focused. But I made 2 pots of lentil soup this morning, worked for a few hours, got the kids off to their friends, dropped my lap top off in Orange, made a Target run, made some jello, and am folding clothes. Then I am done! Whew!
We are going to se The Spiderwick Chronicles today at 5. I love the books and can't wait to see the movie. I have even started reading the books as I have just read chapters here and there with the kids.
Tonight, watching the final episode of Prison Break and hopefully get a good nights sleept. Tomorrow morning I will take 2 showers as I don't know when I will get to take another good shower. Thanks for the tip Dad!! Then it's off to the surgery center and time for la-la land.
Thanks for your kind thoughts and prayers. Will touch base again in another week or so.

So much to do, so little time
That's how I feel just about now. Time is ticking away till Tuesday.
It's getting late and I feel like I have so much more to do. I just have to stop and take a breath.
This weekend is just going to fly by. Saturday Greg has a soccer game and then baseball practice. I am going to the Scrap Book Expo and working with Jessica in her class. Then I get to cruise the Expo. So many fun things to see and this time I can buy. Could not at CHA. Tom will be hanging out with the kids. Evelyn will just go along for the ride.
Sunday Greg has practice again. This team will be on fire come the first game! In the afternoon we are having Eric & Chrissy and the boys over as well as my mom and her brother Russ. Russ is here visiting for a few weeks and we have hardly seen him as we have been so busy. This will be a good time just to sit down and chat some more.
By Sunday afternoon my plan is to have the house totally clean and all the laundry done. I am almost there. Just have to finish dusting and vacuum. But you never know what can happen between now and then.
Monday no school. Whoo-hoo! But Evelyn has to work on some school work. Yep, I know, mean mom...... I have to drive to Orange to lock up my work lap top while I am out and then the rest of the day is ours. I just want to relax, maybe see a movie and enjoy the day before I become one handed for awhile. Oh, I also need to keep looking for that on line typing with your toes class. LOL! That's a joke we have going on here.
Have a fun and safe weekend everyone :)

CHA day 3
As promised, here are pictures from CHA. Lot's of pictures.
Day 3 was slower than the others as the show was starting to wind down. My make and take booth was not as busy as the previous days and this gave me time to browse around the other booths.
Once again my back pack was super heavy filled with all the magazines and catalogs I picked up wandering through the show. I was so exhausted on Tuesday, had not slept well the night before, and had a headache and sore throat. But I stuck it out and went anyways. I didn't want to miss a thing.
I sure hope I get a chance to do this again. Maybe Chicago in the Spring? Hmmmm. It's a thought. But for sure next February when it's back in Anaheim.
So, now for photos, and lots of them. My blog has not had many photos on it anyways. And they are not in any particular order.
Some fun shirts I picked up wandering through the show.
Look at all this loot! There is even more that I found after I took the pictures.
Fiskateer Pride shirt. That's me, #1154
Back of my Fiskateer pride shirt. Look at all those signatures!
Oh, my favorite one here: Nadia from Home Made Simple.
And another favorite: Mark Montano from TLC
More signatures.
Fiskars bag and loot, my apron an Fiskars catalog.
Tons of catalogs, business cards, fliers, info sheets. Whew, I have a lot of fun reading ahead of me.
Magazines galore! There are even more not pictured here. And more fun reading.
My pig tales from the Komfy Cush booth. We got to sig on the cush and get our photo taken and a free cool page for our picture.
Some more loot: Cricuit cartridge, book cover and that's a shell on the bottom we made (it's called felting and very fun) and some free clear bags. I know I can use these
Part of the Fiskars booth
Fiskars booth with Amyre demonstrating punches
Tara and Michelle at the Li'l Davis booth
Me at Heidi Grace. Those are gumdrop kabobs. Fun, easy to make, and yummy!
Tara and Brian at the Li'l Davis booth. I can not remember the other gals name. Sorry. Met so many people.
Happy crafting!!

Count down to S Day
I had my pre-op doctor appointment and everything is good to go. S Day is 2-19-08, 10 am, check in is 9 am. Back to the doctor on Friday the 22nd to have my hand checked out and find out what is in store for me for the recovery period. The first week I am not supposed to do anything. That's fine with me. I plan to nap, read and watch movies then nap some more. Time to de-stress as well.
With the help of Evelyn, we have a freezer packed (yes, there is no room in there) full of pre made meals. The fridge and panty are running a little low but I will take care of that this weekend. Laundry is just about done and house is half way cleaned. I'm making progress here.
Still working away and trying my best to have things in order for my very capable co-workers when I am out.
How do I feel? Nervous, anxious, relieved, scared.....so many emotions I can't describe them all. I left Tom a message when I was done with my appointment and he told me I sounded freaked out. Yep, I guess I probably was at that point as reality had really sunk in then. 4 days away.
I will be off the computer for quite sometime but will update when I can. I will have to practice typing with my toes (ha-ha) and my left hand. That'll be a hoot!
Last time I had surgery was when I had my wisdom teeth pulled out. Back then I had no other responsibilities, like taking care of a family. So, this will be interesting. I have already told the kids that they really have to step up here. I know I can count on Evelyn and Tom but just have to get the gears moving on Greg.
If anyone has any good movie recommendations, let me know. Blockbuster is just a mile away and will be a nice walk when I need to exhange movies. My Q is all lined up and ready to go with some of my favorite movies. Book shelf is packed with books that are calling out to me to be read.
Say a prayer or send good thoughts my way if you remember. Thanks :)

CHA Day Deux
Day 2 at CHA was another great day. I worked again in the Heidi Grace booth doing another make and take. This time a cute licorace goodie bag, using the Fiskars squeeze punch, HG rubons, paper and ribbon. So cute! I love licorice. I was so busy over there, I only got to taste 2 vines of licorice. Oh well.
No celebrety sightings today, at least that I know of. But the fun gals from TX returned to my booth today. I met gals from the Netherlands, Sweeden, Mexico, France, London, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and of course all over the US.
I met this great gal from PA who has a scrap store just outside Pittsburgh. Got her name and number and will call her when I get a chance to go to Pittsburgh with Tom. Hopefully she will join up as a Fiskateer.
Day 3 is today, 1 - 5:30 shift. Promise I will post pictures, just not this morning. Maybe later today. Maybe.
Have a Terrific Tuesday~

CHA
Was just amazing! Tara and I headed up to Anaheim aroun 9am, got checked in and started walking through the convention center. Everything imaginable for crafts and hobbies - paint, fabric, wood, scrapbooking, jewelry making, tools, stamping, printers, and the list goes on and on. We visited so many booths and got so many freebies! My bag was bursting, and heavy.
If we wore a Cricut t-shirt we got a free, yes free, cricut cartridge! Ok, I'll wear a shirt for a free cartridge. Got a few other t-shirts, magazines, plastic storage bags, can't even remember it all. I will have to dig through my stuff later on.
We hit the Fiskars booth (without our Cricut shirts on) before our 1:00 shift started. We got our official Fiskateer shirts, aprons, tags and were prepped on how to man our stations. But first......I can not believe it........ We walked out of the room where we left our bags and got our shirts and who did I spy??? Mark from Ten Years Younger on TLC and Nadia one of the mavens on Home Made Simple! I love Homemade Simple! Sometimes I do watch Ten Years Younger during lunch. I got so giddy.
I got both of them to sign my shirt and chatted for a few minutes. What nice people they are, to spend some time chatting with a huge fan that they don't even know. That just really made my day. I also hooked Nadia up with Stephanie, one of the lead Fiskateers. Might be seeing some Fiskars products on that show later on.
My shift went by so fast. I was asked so many questions about the Heidi Grace product line. I had no idea how to answer but was able to refer the asker to the very knowledgeable Heidi Grace designers who were working the booth. By the end of my shift I sure learned a lot more than when I first got there. I also met people from Germany, Sweeden, Australia, China, Mexico and all ove the US. At my booth people could make these really cute treat holders. They were a big hit as many people were bringing them back home for their kids.
By the end of the day, I was tired, hoarse, and my legs were sure aching. But I had so much fun!
I am back again Monday and Tuesday from 1 - 5:30. Tom is taking over my duties in the afternoon.
Tara took all the photos so when I get them from her, you will see them here.

Tasty Reviews
It's not like I don't have enough to do in my life as it is. But, I thought of this idea sometime ago and it popped back into my little brain last week. So late one night I just went with it and this is what I have come up with. Now this is still a work in progress. And like most things new it takes some adjusting, tweaking and suggestions. So, take a peeksie and let me know what you think. I have not had a lot of time to devote to this yet. I've been a little preoccupied with other stuff that's been going on. But take a look and let me know. When I work everyting out, I'll be sure to send out the link, again.

This week has gone by fast. Greg is home with a cold. Uck. I have a sore throat. But the show must go on.
This weekend brings us:
Saturday: baseball practice, soccer game, dinner time made easy, church
Sunday: birthday party and for Naomi: CHA!! Can't tell you how totally excited and giddy I am. Yep, I am a dork, well a good kind. Feel like it's the night before Christmas! Can't wait to see my other Fiskars friends and meet those I only know on line. I may just park my sleeping bag there for the entire 3 days.
note: blogger is not letting me spell check or post any pix. hmmmm.
Have a safe and fun filled weekend.

Blood work and EKG
Took a drive to Mission Hospital this morning for my blood work and EKG. I didn't know I also had to do all the admission paperwork. At least that is all done. Pre-op appointment is 2-14. Then it's just waiting time until the 19th.
I have the pantry stocked and the fridge and freezer stocked. Starting to make some pre made meals that can just be heated up on the stove or in the oven. Saturday morning Evelyn and I are going to Dinner Time Made Easy in Laguna Hills to make some meals. The kids and I went last year and the food was good. I just hope I have room in the freezer to put it all. Maybe it's time to invest in a small freezer for the garage. LOL!!
It's going to be a busy 2 weeks. But I sure am looking forward to the down time afterwards.
Until then...........have a great week and enjoy the sunny weather!

Daily thought and Tuesday
When the head aches, all the members partake of the pain.
— Miguel de Cervantes
Oh baby, isn't this true. My head is pounding. I don't know if it is the wind, the fact that I stayed up too late last night trying to get some work done, that my surgery is 2 weeks away and I am stressing over that. who knows. But my head hurts and my body feels the pain for sure. There is only so much a person can do.
At least for the next 2 days we don't have anything going on after school. Yesterday was a back and forth day between riding lessons and baseball.
Greg really like his team and coaches. These coaches all coached together last year. They said the firt practice was great! Greg pulled his Padres hat from last season out of his baseball bag and one of the coaches was giving him a hard time about it and jokingly said not to wear the hat to practice again. you see, Greg's team beat the Dodgers in the season playoffs last year. Greg plays 3rd base and he caught a line drive foul ball right in front of the Dodgers dug out during that game. And that ball was hit by one of the coaches sons who is now on Greg's team. Well, that was last year.
Evelyn has a new day and time for riding lessons. She likes this new instructor and learned diagonals at lessons. Ok, that is a term used for posting and how you ride the horse. I need to learn all this too. Evelyn likes to ride Jessie. Jessie is a good horse but doesn't like to be groomed and does not like inexperienced riders. Evelyn does great riding her in the ring keeping Jessie doing what Evelyn wants her to do. Evelyn is also presistent when grooming Jessie and doesn't get frustrated when Jessie moves around the post and grinds her teeth at Evelyn. Silly horse!
While Tom and Greg were watching the superbowl, Evelyn and I went to the Hannah Montana 3d movie. Loved it!! We both sang all the songs and wished the Jonas Brothers sang a few more songs. Go see it!
Well, my lap top is all signed on and up and running. Time to get to work. But I really want to go back to sleep!!
Enjoy your week.

I'm Back
Back from my 3 day stay in Westlake Village. Three days of meetings and hanging out with my other co workers. It's nice to reconnect with co-workers who live scattered throughout the US. But sitting in meetings all day.......I can pass on that. I was also able to get some reading done an well as some beading and more organizing. I brought a ton of stuff with me.
Now it's back home and time to reconnect with the family. Jumping back in with both feet as Evelyn has riding lessons today, Greg has a soccer game Saturday afternoon and then his first baseball practice Sunday.
Super Bowl Sunday the boys are haning out with other boys to watch the game. Us girls, well, we don't have for sure plans yet but have a few things in mind. I know we will find something fun to do.
Wow, I came home to an entry way of boxes. My order from Pottery Barn, Cafe Press, Fiskateers goodies from Cheryl and from Jessica a K2R goodie box for the Scrap Expo in a few weeks. Ok, also a huge stack of mail, mostly junk mail.
I mentioned beading above............ stay tuned for more info on that. Don't know when though........
Hope you all have a fun and safe weekend :)
