Real Simple Daily Thought

Here is a good one to keep in mind all the time. It's easy to want to be like everyone else, have the same things, wear the same things....... Don't worry if you are too tall, too short, too thin, too heavy, hair wrong color. Be You. Love You. Respect You. Love you for the way you are. God made each of us to be special in our own way.

It took me a long time not to judge myself through someone else's eyes.
— Sally Field

Now, not to get preachy here, but this is a good one to pass on to our pre-teen daughters. As I keep telling Evelyn (and Greg), people like you for who you are, what is in your heart and how you treat people. It's not about what you wear, how you look, or how good you are at things.

So here I am sitting with my hair in a pony tail, wearing my worn out slippers, baggy capri pants and my shirt has a toothpaste spot on it. I will brush my hair in a bit and change my shirt. I will put on my shoes when I go to get Greg from school.

Evelyn is sick again today. I picked her up from school early yesterday as she had a fever. But it's gone down from 104 (yesterday) to 99 this morning. She slept for about 12 hours last night. I wanted to get some work done early this morning before she got up.

So, back to Sally, be you, love who you are, and make it a good day!!
