I love the rain! Love to hear the rain, love to stand and walk in the rain, love the way everything smells so clean after the rain, the green hills (and my green grass). Love the rain. Evy and Greg also love the rain. This morning Evy said she hopes it rains this weekend so they can get their rain coats on and go play in the rain.
Kids have out grown their rain coats and boots. So, better make a trip to the store to get more. If there are any. Can't believe bathing suits are out and it is only January!
Our back yard floods when it rains a lot. We get a huge puddle outside the kitchen. We always joke that we could float a boat on the puddle it is that big and deep.
A few years ago the kids were out back playing and having such a great time in that puddle. Then I hear "Look at us!!!". The boogie boards were dragged out of the shed and the kids would start on one side of the yard, run across the yard and dive onto the boogie boards and go flying across the puddle. They had a blast. Then it was time for hot chocolate in front of the warm fire. I figure that if we lived in the snow, the kids would be out playing in the snow. So why not get soaking wet and have a great time playing in the rain.
