Back to School and Work and Baseball

We had so much fun over our Christmas break and were bummed to go back to school and work. The kids handled the transition from staying up late and sleeping in to going to bed early again and getting up early for school great. Me, well, I would rather be sleeping late still.

It was nice to just hang out at the house with nothing much to do and no where to have to dash off to. I cleaned out all the rooms in the house and made many trips to the Good Will. Also sold boxes of stuff on ebay :) The kids had lots of play dates and mostly fun just being kids and playing with their Christmas gifts.

Greg had baseball try outs last Sunday. He tried up for Double A but we later talked him into staying in Single A. There are 4 coaches who want Greg on their Single A teams. Wow! He will be one of the older boys and will get in a lot of good play time. The draft is at the end of January and practices start early February. Then it is busy time again. But I love baseball season.

Evelyn opted not to play softball this year. Things won't be as hectic doing double sports but we are thinking of signing up for piano lessons. She loves to make up her own songs.

I am going on a scrapbooking weekend this weekend and sure looking forward to my time away with the gals :)

It is starting to rain and get cold again. At the gas station today, Fritz Coleman said we are to have some of the coldest weather in the last 10 to 15 years. The gas station now has video screens on the gas pumps. Go figure!

oh, update on birds and dogs. Kaydee still wants a Roxy Cracker but is getting better with the birds. Cracker flew in front of her the other day and she did not try to get him. Good dog.

Greg doesn't keep Cracker on the floor in his room anymore.
